Jenn Wiggins, MA, LPC, Director

Jenn serves as the director for Sexual Violence Prevention and Education (SVPE) here at Virginia Tech. In this capacity, she works as a wellbeing architect to build programming and engage in outreach to address gender violence on campus. Jenn is a licensed professional counselor who is passionate about transformational learning, strategic planning and holistic care. Jenn specializes in trauma-focused care and serving historically marginalized communities. Jenn’s ultimate goal is to inspire positive behavior change and promote a culture of wellness at Virginia Tech.

Madeline Cooper, MS, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Student Leadership Development

Madeline, assistant director, specializes in undergraduate student leadership development. She oversees the VOICES Peer Educator program, conducts educational workshops, and facilitates the NASPA Certified Peer Educator program. Backed by a master's in violence prevention and advocacy, she's passionate about fostering a violence-free environment at Virginia Tech by facilitating open conversations and equipping students with the skills necessary to prevent violence in our community.   

Jennifer Leili, Ph.D., Assistant Director

Jennifer, assistant director, focuses on education and awareness opportunities for graduate students, faculty and staff. With a Ph.D. in criminology, Jennifer brings a deep understanding of the systemic factors related to sexual violence and works to develop creative and engaging programming for the campus community. Jennifer’s ultimate goal is to create an environment where everyone’s time at Virginia Tech is a safe, meaningful, and fun experience. 

Philip Ray, MSW, Community Engagement Specialist

Philip serves as the community engagement specialist, where he focuses on promoting positive and healthy expressions of masculinity. He holds a Master of Social Work and has been providing mental health support and case management services in the New River Valley since 2011. In addition to his clinical and community-based work, Philip is a Ph.D. candidate in sociology and has taught a range of undergraduate courses. His academic and professional interests center on the social construction of sex and gender and how these constructs shape everyday experiences.
