  • Boundary Builders: This workshop helps participants build stronger relationships by learning the skills necessary for setting and maintaining healthy boundaries. We will look at how managing our emotions and speaking clearly are important when defining our capacity. Participants will identify what stops them from sticking to their limits and learn how to communicate their needs without disrespecting others. By practicing how to negotiate and respect boundaries as they change over time, we will discover how to model healthy habits that protect our well-being and strengthen our connections with others.
  • Bystander Intervention: This workshop empowers participants to become active bystanders. We’ll define bystander behavior, explore the "bystander effect," and highlight the impact of inaction on individuals and communities. We will learn to recognize various forms of harm, including subtle and overt discrimination, and understand the importance of intervention. The workshop introduces the CARE model (Create a Distraction, Ask Directly, Refer to Shared Values, Enlist Others) to provide practical strategies for safe and effective intervention, emphasizing respecting the autonomy of those affected.
  • Healthy Relationships: This workshop examines healthy and unhealthy relationships, defining healthy dynamics using the Wheel of Equality. Participants will learn to set and understand evolving personal boundaries, identify various forms of abuse and their warning signs, and challenge harmful stereotypes while recognizing various relationships.
  • Understanding Gender-Based Violence: This workshop explores why sexual violence happens in our society. We'll look at how things like gender roles and cultural beliefs play a part, and how different forms of oppression make some people more vulnerable. We'll also discuss how alcohol and drugs can be involved, and how media and the legal system sometimes blame victims. You'll learn about the impact of sexual violence on survivors and how to support them with sensitivity. We'll cover how to spot and challenge harmful behaviors like and learn ways to build a culture of consent and respect in our communities.
